Our beta biothane neck collar can be an alternative to a halter for some horses. It's waterproof, fadeproof and sweatproof for use in the stall, the field or under saddle. Designed to rest on a comfortable spot on the horse's neck without sliding over the ears.

 

This neck collar features a buckle closure and is fully adjustable. This design includes a metal loop threaded through the collar for attachment to a picket line. The loop can move across the collar to allow the horse some degree of comfortable movement.

 

Now with the option to order a hanging tag! Choose your preferred tag color and shape (circle or heart). Tags are not eligible for rush shipping and may ship separately.

The description said "for use in the stall or the field" and doesn't take into account that this specific collar isn't breakaway and in fact, will NOT break if a horse's/mule's back shoe gets caught in it. This collar will NOT give and you're likely to lose your animal tragically if you turn out in it.

I don't use a picket line, but it's so much easier to clip a lead line to. My mare has a sensitive face/neck, and she wears one pretty much 24/7. It hasn't rubbed her hair like others have if left on her. It's also nice that I can simply hose it off and I don't have to actually wash it when she gets it all dirty. I highly recommend.
