A friend showed me these halters and I immediately ordered one for one of my horses to try out. I wish I had had it with me when we were away from home riding. We had come back and were in the process of unpacking and haltering the horses to load them to go home and a big semi truck came right behind the trailer and spooked the horses very badly. I had dropped the bridle and was in the process of putting the regular halter on my horse. She spooked before I had a chance to buckle it and I had to hang on to the two unconnected ends as she struggled to get away. We were next to a highway and I shudder to think what would have happened if she had shook me off. I immediately ordered one for every one of my horses and these will be the only halters I trailer out with. You simply open or close it at the nose and the rest of the halter is still attached to your horse. Not to mention they are very inexpensive for the great quality. I ordered leather for each of them and won't use anything else in the future.
